The award winning educational program Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) teaches you how to assist people who are developing a mental health problem, experiencing a worsening of an existing mental health problem or in a mental health crisis, until appropriate professional help is received or the crisis resolves.
Gain essential skills, knowledge and expertise in managing mental health problems at home, in the workplace or the community.
The MHFA Program outlines the warning signs of mental health issues and provides information and education as to the most appropriate communication techniques (how to have conversations around mental health issues), referral sources and self-help strategies when dealing with mental health related issues.
The program applies a commonsense approach with user-friendly language. It defines the symptoms, causes and evidence-based treatments for the following common mental health disorders.
· Depression (Bipolar disorder, suicidal thoughts and behaviours and self harm)
· Anxiety Disorders (6 anxiety disorders including PTSD)
· Psychosis and
· Substance Use Disorder
Caddie also includes stress management, mindfulness and resilience within her teachings.

The face to face programs are 12 hours in duration and available as tailored workplace or public courses.
Expect to have a full and fun 2 days with plenty of activities, resources, tips and techniques, that can enhance yours and other people's lives!
Become an Accredited Mental Health First Aider at no extra cost!
After you have finished the course you can complete an online accreditation test to become an Accredited Mental Health First Aider .
You will be issued a digital Certificate of Accreditation by MHFA Australia, valid for 3 years!
4 Hour MHFA Refresher Courses
Following successful completion of the Refresher Course and assessment you will maintain your National Accreditation for a further 3 years at no additional cost.
The Refresher Course is available face to face (4 hours) or by Zoom (2x2.5hrs).
Caddie is available for follow up assistance with the application of the MHFA or if participants have any questions before, and after the course.

LUNCH AND LEARN SESSIONS
Mind Body Connection and Stress. Topic areas can be tailored to meet depth and breadth of content, depending upon individual needs and desired outcomes.
Liven up your lunchtime or staff development day with a fun and interactive information session for staff as part of your workplace health and wellness initiatives.
Topics can be linked / modified to organisational areas of interest and tailored to your context and needs.
The sessions are short, sharp and fun, but also have some thought provoking and perhaps challenging messages underpinning the presentation and exercises. Sessions generally run between 1.5hrs to 2hrs and provide staff with some easy, practical ways to apply stress management and mindfulness techniques at home and in the workplace.

Managing Mental Health and Well-being in the Workplace
Managing Mental Health and Well-being in the Workplace is an evidence based, prevention focussed program. Sessions are tailored and specific to today’s working environment. The facilitation and training are underpinned by Caddie’s values of simplicity, clarity and FUN!
The program is eight hours in total, delivered in two-hour sessions by videoconferencing or face to face. This allows time for reflection on course content and application of participant learnings.
